Background Pattern Tiles and Swatches


When Pam first began experimenting with running her fractals through kaleidoscope software, it was primarily to make mandalas. Later, she began to explore the process of repeating a pattern within rectangular boundaries. The mosaic tiles and swatches you see here are among the many hundreds of background patterns that Pam has created from her fractals and from photographs. Tiled or used singly, they have great possibilities for wallpaper, gift wrap, or for fabric or textile designs, as well as for borders and/or backgrounds in print and web layouts. This simple textured background, with its repeating cube pattern, is reminiscent of light hitting wet ice cubes or, perhaps, a wall of glass bricks or blocks.
